Abstract:
To obtain a structure which can separate a pendulum damper by a simple structure, and to suppress an increase of the number of part items and an increase of weight.SOLUTION: In a torsional vibration reduction device 1 employed to a torque converter 2, a pendulum damper 3 is arranged so that an annular plate-shaped rotating body 31 for holding an inertia mass body so as to be pendulum-operational is arranged between a lockup piston 25a and a front cover 21, and relatively rotatably attached to a turbine shaft 4. The lockup piston 25a has a first engagement part 251 which comes into contact with the front cover 21 and is friction-engaged therewith, and a second engagement part 252 which comes into contact with the rotating body 31 and is friction-engaged therewith. A lockup clutch 25 is switched to an engagement state that the second engagement part 252 is also friction-engaged with the rotating body 31 when the first engagement part 251 is friction-engaged with the front cover 21, and switched to a release state that the second engagement part 252 also separates from the rotating body 31 when the first engagement part 251 separates from the front cover 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
