Title:
TORSIONAL VIBRATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3808957
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsional vibrator in which the torsional rigidity of the substructure of a tire can be measured by dynamic measurement.
SOLUTION: A torsional vibrator 1 has a D.C. electric motor 2 having an induction winding 7. A direct current is supplied to the induction winding through an inverter means 11 capable of alternately changing its polarity in a prescribed frequency. A wheel 13 formed of a rim 14 and a tire 15 is integrated to the shaft 8 of the electric motor 2, and acceleration transducers 18, 19, 20, 21 are related to the rim 14 and the tire 15 of the wheel. The shaft 8 of the motor 2 is driven so that the wheel 13 can be torsionally vibrated to generate an angle vibration 27 for vibrating the wheel in the rotating direction. The acceleration transducers 18, 19, 20, 21 detect rotating vibrations and provide the measured values of acceleration of the rim 14 and the tire 15.
