Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch detection device capable of preventing erroneous detection in which a detection part detects the contact at places other than the contact part.SOLUTION: A touch detection device A includes: a detection part 4 which includes a contact part 16 with which an object comes into contact and detects the object's contact with the contact part; a vibration excitation element 6 for vibrating the contact part; a drive circuit 24 for exciting the vibration to the contact part by applying a voltage to the vibration excitation element; and a contact determination circuit 22a for determining whether or not the object comes into contact with the contact part on the basis of vibration of the contact part. The contact part has vibration propagation suppressing means 32, 134, 234 for suppressing vibration propagation, in the surroundings thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
