PURPOSE: To select a desired recognized area with a 'one-touch' operation by selecting a recognized area closest to a touched point when a part except the recognized areas is touched.

CONSTITUTION: When a touched point 4 is not included in any recognized area, a recognized area 23, for example, closest to the point 4 is detected through the concentrical circles formed around the point 4. Then the area 23 is displayed in various colors and by flickering. In actual touch input operation, the point 4 gets out of a desired recognized area just by a slight extent. Thus the desired recognized area is selected with a 'one-touch' operation and a reinput operation is not always required.
