To provide a touch pannel input system where plural kinds of touch pannels with different specification are connected to fixed pannel control LSI.

The system of provided with a touch pannel 3 outputting a signal corresponding to a pressing position on the pannel, a pannel control means 2 converting the output signal of the touch pannel 3 into coordinate data in the pannel so as to output it and a host device 1 specifying input contents in the pannel based on coordinate data outputted from the pannel control means 2. The pannel control means 2 of provided with a control condition storage part 2b where a condition for converting the output signal of the touch pannel 3 into coordinate data is stored. Moreover, the host device 1 is provided with a transmitting function for transmitting previously set control condition data for the pannel control means 2 to the pannel control means 2. In addition to it, the pannel control means 2 is provided with an updating means 2a updating control condition data received from the host device 1 into a control condition storage part 2b.
