Abstract:
To restrain a touchdown bearing from co-rotating when it does not support a rotating shaft.SOLUTION: A touchdown bearing (17) comprises an inner ring 21, an outer ring 22, and a plurality of balls 23 interposed between the inner ring 21 and the outer ring 22. At least one of the plurality of balls 23 consists of a ball body 41, and a coating layer 42 made of a solid lubricant provided on a surface of the ball body 41. Internal clearances between the ball 23 (23a) comprising the coating layer 42, and the inner ring 21 and the outer ring 22 are zero or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
