To provide a tourniquet which eliminates the misconnection to other medical instruments used for the treatment and diagnosis.
The tourniquet 1 has a band body 2 to be wound on the site of a limb, where bleeding is to be stopped a fixing means 3 for fixing the band body 2 wound on the limb, a balloon 5 connected to the band body 2, which is expanded by injecting a fluid, and an injection part 8, one end of which is connected to the balloon 5 while a connector 83 having a tapered inner circumferential surface is provided at the other end part thereof for the injection of the fluid to the balloon 5. The angle of the inner circumferential surface is in the range of 1 to 4°with respect to the axial direction of the connector 83, the minimum inner diameter of the inner circumferential surface is in the range of 2 to 3 mm and the length of the inner circumferential surface is not more than 4 mm.
