To provide a towing hook mounting structure where a hook mounting member is disposed at a front end of an impact absorbing member, which is structured so that an impact load is appropriately absorbed in the impact absorbing member even when the impact load is applied to the towing hook mounting member from a diagonal direction.
A nut member (hook mounting member) 24 is fixed on an internal side face of a front end cover 34 of a crush box (shock absorbing member) 14R through a fixing part 42 of a mounting flange 40. When an impact load works on the nut member 24 by a predetermined value or higher, the nut member 24 is fractured at a slit 46 portion and a release part 44 more inward than the slit 46 is released inward of the crush box 14R together with the nut member 24. Thus, the impact load works directly on the front end cover 34 and generation of a moment is restrained even when a load works from a diagonal direction, so that the crush box 14R is appropriately crushed, thus stably achieving predetermined impact energy absorbing performance.
