To provide a toxic substance decomposing/removing filter from which a catalyst hardly drops out, by which a toxic substance in a gas can be removed surely and which can be used over a long period of time and to provide a bag filter.
This toxic substance decomposing/removing filter has a catalyst layer formed by depositing the catalyst 19 for decomposing/removing the toxic substance 24 in the gas 21 on a sheet 11 having pores for communicating both sides of the sheet 11 with each other. A piece of filter cloth 13 or a porous membrane 12 can be arranged to be abutted on the catalyst layer. The membrane 12 can be arranged to be abutted on each of both sides of the catalyst layer and the cloth 13 can be arranged to be abutted on the outside of the membrane 12. As a result, the catalyst can be prevented from dropping out, particularly, to the gravity direction, the catalyst-deposited state can be kept over a long period of time and consequently the function of decomposing/removing the substance 24 can be kept high.
