Title:
TRACK BALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3204237
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a track ball and to make the ball free from maintenance.
SOLUTION: An infrared sensor part 1 is constituted so that plural infrared sensor cells are arranged in a semispherical base at equal interval. Each infrared sensor cell detect infrared rays from a human body when a hand touches it. An interface part 2 obtains a moving direction and moving speed based on the change vector of the detection position distribution of a part which the hand touches in the infrared sensor part 1 and transmits them to a computer 4 through a connected serial interface 5 as the shift of X/Y-axes or a Z-axis.
