Abstract:

To provide a trackball apparatus which can rotate a ball by a small rotating operation force, can transmit the proper feeling of click to an operator, and is excellent in operability.

The trackball apparatus is equipped with a ball 8 in which a rotating operation is possible, and a roller 7 which is arranged below the ball 8 with a prescribed size of a gap. The roller 7 is supported rotatably by a click generation means 9 which can generate a prescribed click feeling. The ball 8 is pushed downward by rotating operation and can be abutted to the roller 7. The click feeling from the click generation means is transmitted to the ball 8 through the roller 7 which rotates by the abutment of the ball 8.
