Title:
TRACTION CONTROL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012202285
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a traction control device that avoids overregulated fail control which imposes an excessive burden on a user when a failure occurs during traction control.

The device contains a throttle-by-wire means (TBW) 61 for performing throttle control using a motor 57 according to an accelerator opening αA, and reduces a throttle valve opening θTH to a first scheduled value θTHTCS using the TBW 61 when slip of a driving wheel WR is detected. When a failure is detected during the reduction of a throttle valve opening θTH to the first scheduled opening θTHTCS, the throttle valve opening θTH is further reduced to a second scheduled opening θTHidle using the TBW 61. When an accelerator grip 24R is operated to a fully-closed position while the throttle valve opening θTH is reduced to the second scheduled opening θTHidle, the control by the TBW 61 is stopped to allow throttle control by direct operation of the accelerator grip 24R according to the accelerator opening αA.
