PURPOSE: To obtain the traffic information reception device which enables a driver to easily take desired traffic information out in a short time.

CONSTITUTION: This traffic information reception device stores the traffic information, which are classified by items and sent as a radio wave signal from a transmitting station, by the items and outputs the traffic information in response to the output operation of an operation means 11. A control means 3 outputs only the information names of the respective items of the traffic information from a storage means 3 to an output means 9 at the time of 1st output operation of the operation means 11. When 2nd output operation of the operation means 11 is performed during the 1st output operation, only the traffic information corresponding to the item outputted at the point of time or the traffic information corresponding to the current item and traffic information on subsequent items are outputted from the storage means 3 to the output means 9.
