Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the traveling direction of a vehicle so as to agree with a traffic lane automatically at the end of control for avoiding traffic lane deviation when the vehicle is deviated from the traffic lane and the control for avoiding traffic lane deviation is performed.
SOLUTION: When a deviation inferred value XS based on lateral displacement X detected by a camera is in a traffic lane deviation condition in which the value exceeds a deviation discrimination threshold, the control for avoiding traffic lane deviation to return the vehicle into a traffic lane side is performed. When the vehicle returns to the traffic lane and the control for avoiding traffic lane deviation ends, the control for avoiding traffic lane deviation is performed in the reverse direction relative to the direction for avoiding traffic lane deviation in the vehicle so that the traveling direction of the vehicle agrees with the direction along the traffic lane automatically when the control for avoiding the traffic lane deviation ends. In addition, when the vehicle runs a corner, a driver performs steering, and there is resistance in running in the lateral direction, the traveling direction of the vehicle agrees with the direction along the traffic lane automatically when the control for avoiding traffic lane deviation ends.
