Title:
TRAILING LINK TYPE BEAM SUSPENSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6071310
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To restrain the generation of damping force for improving the feeling in riding in the vehicle by locating an axle beam so as to deviate from the axis of rotation of the wheels in the longitudinal direction of the autobody, and arranging the axial of a damper to traverse the vicinity of said axis of rotation of the wheels.

CONSTITUTION: An axle beam 5 is disposed beneath and in the rear side of the axis of rotation Q. The beam 5 is integrally provided, at the right and left sides thereof, with arms 13 and 14 projecting forwards. Dampers 11 and 12 are rotatably connected between the front ends 15, 16 of the arms 13, 14 and the autobody, and are disposed so that their axes traverse the axis of rotation of the wheels 1, 2. The right-hand end of a Panhard rod 17 disposed almost coaxially on the axis of rotation Q is connected to the front side of the beam 5 so as to be rotatable about the axis approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction of the autobody. In such a manner, the damper is not greatly expanded nor contrated even when one of the wheels moves up or down to rotate the beam with respect to the autobody.
