To provide a train control device capable of preventing advance of a train from being unreasonably hindered while preventing an excessive brake command from being output based on an upper-limit speed defined by a brake pattern.

In a train control device for setting a pattern of an upper-limit speed in accordance with a distance to a stop point, and outputting a brake command when the speed of a train exceeds the upper-limit speed, a brake pattern for emergency and a brake pattern for regular use are set. When an upper-limit speed defined by the brake pattern for regular use lowers to a set speed, the upper-limit speed of the brake pattern for regular use is constantly kept only in a predetermined distance, and thereafter the upper-limit speed is gradually decreased toward a stop point of the brake patter for emergency. Thereby, even when a stationary stop position in automatic train operation is located in the distance relative to the stop point of the brake pattern for regular use, entry of the train up to the stationary stop position can be allowed, and an emergency brake command by the brake pattern for emergency can be prevented from being excessively output.
