Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve an issue of a false determination of a tachometer generator failure caused by a false difference resulted when speed values detected by the tachometer generator and a speed sensor are compered to select a correct train speed, which may occur when the tachometer generator is not failed.SOLUTION: A train control system comprises a tachometer generator which generates a speed pulse corresponding to a rotation speed of a wheel; and a speed sensor which detects a first train speed on the basis of a reflected wave of a millimetric wave irradiated onto a railroad. The train control system compares a second train speed determined on the basis of the speed pulse and the first train speed, and when the comparison results in a difference greater than a predetermined value, failure information is output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
