Title:
TRAIN INTERIOR FABRIC USING COLORED GLASS FIBERS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007092188
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a train interior fabric which is non-flammable, does not generate a poisonous gas on a fire, and is rich in design, while expectations for non-flammable wall-decorating materials generating no poisonous gas have been enhanced, because plastic decorative boards having much been used as wall-decorating materials for passenger trains give cool and inexpensive impressions, while woven or knitted fabrics having been used as surface layers generate poisonous gases.

It has been found that glass fibers subjected to a silane coupling treatment can be colored with a dye. Consequently, a glass fiber woven or knitted fabric excellent in design can be used as a train interior fabric.
