Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the energy by appropriately controlling the train operation without providing any facility for energy saving. SOLUTION: Each train is provided with an on-board device 20 provided with a storage device 23 to store each data including the passing time of check points on the train track, position, and speed limit, a train position detecting device 28, a train speed detecting device 27, and a processing device 25 which calculates the distance to the check points from the data on the detected present train position and the position of the check points, calculates the estimated check point passing time based on the calculated value, compares the calculated estimated passing time with the passing time data on the operation diagram, and prepares an appropriate speed pattern to suppress the power consumption when the estimated passing time is earlier than the passing time. The speed detected by the train speed detecting device 27 is checked by the prepared speed pattern, and the operation of the train is controlled.
