Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce a dead point not permitting unconscious stepping operation and to enable active operation by extending the shaft of a crank system in parallel to the shaking shaft of a pedal to mutually connect these shafts by a transmission gear mechanism and driving a flywheel. CONSTITUTION: A frame 1 contains a crank system 2 having a shaft 21 and discs 22 and crank pins 23 are provided in both ends of the shaft 21 and large gears 24, 32 are fixed on the shaft 21 and the pinion 41 fixed on a flywheel shaft 40 is driven through belts 25, 33 and a flywheel 42 is fixed on the shaft 40. A support bracket 43 is arranged to the side surface of the frame 1 and a brake bar 45 is pivotally mounted on the upper end 44 thereof to be equilibrated by a counterweight 46 and the regulation of braking force moves a counterweight 47 along a lever 45. A pedal 50 has a foot plate 54 and is connected to a base plate 5 through a hinge 55.
