Abstract:
To provide a new trans carotenoid compound and a method of using the same.
The trans carotenoid compound is exemplified by the following compound W. The compound is useful for improving diffusivity of oxygen between a red blood cell and a body tissue in a mammal, and is administrated to a mammal for the treatment of lowering high blood pressure.
