Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit a power train from increase in size.SOLUTION: A transaxle apparatus 1, for use in a hybrid vehicle that includes an engine 2, a first rotary electric machine 3 and a second rotary electric machine 4, and transmits power of the engine 2 and first rotary electric machine 3 individually to an output shaft 12 on drive wheel side and also the power of the engine 2 to the second rotary electric machine 4, includes: a casing 1C having an attachment surface 1F on which the first and second rotary electric machines 3, 4 are attached; a counter shaft 15 disposed inside the casing 1C and on a power transmission path between the output shaft 12 and an input shaft 11 that is coaxially connected to a rotation shaft 2a of the engine 2; and a switchover mechanism 20A, having a planetary gear 30A disposed intervening in the counter shaft 15, for switching between a high-gear stage and a low gear stage. The planetary gear 30A is disposed toward the attachment surface 1F of the casing 1C and avoiding overlaps with the first and second rotary electric machines 3, 4 when viewed from the attachment surface 1F.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
