Abstract:
PURPOSE: To compensate distortions which are led into one part of communication channel without increasing noises. CONSTITUTION: A signal having a frequency spectrum considerably narrow rather than that of information signal is transmitted to a communication channel 103. This transmission includes the encoding of the signal. At a receiver 131, the quantization error led in by this signal encoding is analyzed, and all the distortion led in at one of plural sections in the communication channel 103 to lead the distortion or any part less than the whole is determined. The distortion to be compensated is given relation to the distortion led in at the section of communication channel 103, adjacent to the receiver 131. The signal to analyze the quantization noise can be ordinarily used for invalidizing an echo canceler in a conventional application. Thus, it is not necessary to allocate a band width for determining the suitable quantity of this distortion compensation.
