Abstract:
To provide a transfer device suitable for a workpiece long in a longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: A transfer device S as a transfer device for transferring a workpiece 2 placed on a table 1 includes: transfer means 4 which abuts on a top face of the workpiece 2 and transfers the workpiece 2; detection means 5 which abuts on the top face of the workpiece 2 and detects a height of the workpiece 2 from the table 1; end part detection means 6 for detecting an end part of the workpiece 2; a lifting body 70 for lifting and lowering the transfer means 4, the detection means 5 and the end part detection means 6; lifting means 7 for lifting and lowering the lifting body 70 so as to follow the height of the workpiece 2 from the table 1 as detected by the detection means 5; and control means 100 for stopping lifting or lowering of the lifting body 70 upon detection of the end part of the workpiece 2 by the end part detection means 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
