Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a transfer device capable of stably transferring toner image formed on the surface of a photoreceptor with a high transfer efficiency, effectively removing an electrostatic charge after an image is formed and effectively and uniformly electrify the photoreceptor by a main electrifier in a continuous image forming cycle as well, so as to form an excellent image without image mottle, in an image forming device adopting a reversal developing system.
CONSTITUTION: As the photoreceptor, one capable of being electrified to both of positive and negative polarities is used and as the transfer roller 14, a conductive sponge rubber is used as well. Both of them are brought into contact with each other or pressed to be in contact with each other with moderate force and simultaneously a DC voltage applied to the transfer roller 14 is set to be a voltage having a polarity opposite to a potential by electrification by an electrifier and further, being larger than that for starting to electrify the photoreceptor and make the potential of the surface of the photoreceptor after being discharged become to ≤50V as the absolute value.
