PURPOSE: To enhance speed by moving a device by rollers coming in inclined contact with a horizontal rotary shaft, and changing the direction of the rollers by cam mechanism of a direction changing part to drive by orthogonal shafts in a transfer device for a food radiation device.

CONSTITUTION: A bend part is composed of a rotary shaft 7 in the arriving direction of a carriage, and two shafts 8, 9 orthogonal to the shaft 7. The shafts 8, 9 are driven by pulleys 11, 12 and belts 13, 14. Rollers 19, 20 supported to a chassis 18 are connected by a rod 23, and rollers 21, 22 are connected by a rod 24. When rollers 25, 26 receive the action of bend parts 29 of cams 27, 28, pairs of rollers 19, 20; 21, 22 synchronously change the direction so as to allow orthogonal travel by the shafts 8, 9 and rollers 19, 20, thus improving speed.
