PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device which can stabilize a friction coefficient even in a high load range and a high rotation range while securing the strength.SOLUTION: A transmission device 1 includes a fixed piece 30 having a first slide surface 31; a base material 22 connected to a rotation shaft 10 transmitting torque and composed of a carbon fiber-reinforced carbon composite material; and a slide layer 23 laminated on the base material 22, having a second slide surface 21 coming into contact with the first slide surface 31, and having a weight % of contained fibers lower than that of the base material 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
