PURPOSE: To provide a transfer device in which the moving distance at the time of transfer has been minimized so that the transfer speed can be increased up to the limit.

CONSTITUTION: In a transfer device 10 for successively transferring small parts W from a transfer origin to a transfer destination, a part holder part 21 on the delivery side on which the small parts W on the transfer origin side are placed, and a part receiving part 31 on the transfer destination side are superposedly arranged so as to be relatively movable, and also at least one side is positioned with regard to the other side and is displaceably supported so that the distance between the transfer origin and the transfer destination can be reduced. Further, the device is provided with a transportation mechanism 40 for transferring the small parts W from the transfer origin to the transfer destination, and the transportation mechanism 40 comprises an obliquely moving base 41 that is driven so as to be obliquely moved between the transfer origin and the transfer destination, an elevating member 45 that is elevatably supported by the obliquely moving base 41 and that is normally situated in an elevated position, a transfer head 49 by which the small parts W are attracted, and a loweringly driving part 50 for lowering the elevating member 45.
