The transfer feeder is provided with a front feeder 1 arranged at the front part of dies for multi-processes in the forging press, a rear feed bar 2 arranged at the rear part thereof and a working unit S for working the front and the rear feed bars 1, 2, wherein the working unit S is provided with a front feed bar working device 10 for working the front feed bar 1 and a rear feed bar working device 20 for independently workable of the rear feed bar 2 to the first feed bar 1, and the claws 1a, 2a for carrying at the front part and the rear part for supporting by fastening the workpiece at the front part and the rear part when the front and the rear feed bars 1, 2, are approached, are arranged, respectively on the mutually faced surfaces of the front and the rear feed bars 1, 2, and the rear feed bar 2 is formed so that the toughness is higher than that of the front feed bar 1.
