PURPOSE: To provide a transfer foil to be transferred at an external appearance of metallic coating tone for exposing a design external appearance substantially equivalent to metallic painting to a transfer medium by forming a transparent picture pattern layer of high transparency picture ink having specific value of more of light beam transmittance.

CONSTITUTION: A transparent picture pattern layer 4 is a decorative layer for improving desired decoration properties, and exposes the brightness 4 of a metallic layer 5 as a lower layer of the layer 4 after transferring on an outer surface. Thus, the layer 4 is formed of high transparency picture ink having 40% or more of light beam transmittance. If the ink having less than 40% of the transmittance is used, the layer 4 itself is deteriorated in transparency, it cannot sufficiently transmit the gloss of the metallic layer and cannot expose the external appearance of a beautiful metallic painting tone to be obtained. The high transparency ink is obtained by solely, mixing or adding pigment such as organic pigment, titanium, carbon, silica, etc., with vehicle such as acryl, acrylstyrene copolymer to be used for known printing ink.
