PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a pallet twisting force in a transfer installation using a conveyer by disposing a pair of left and right conveyers having a larger pitch between the upstream and downstream ends of the conveyers than in the intermediate section, disposing a drive device linearly over all paths and disposing a transmitting device divided into the inner and outer ones.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of left and right conveyers 10, 11 having a pitch P1 between the upstream and downstream ends 12A, 12B of the conveyer larger than that P2 in the intermediate section 12C are horizontally disposed. Thus, a conveyer frame is divided and disposed in both ends 12A, 12B and intermediate section 12C. A chain of a drive device 40 is linearly disposed over the whole path, and cylinders of a transmitting device 50 are so separately disposed inward and outward that they may be outside at both ends 12A, 12B and inside at the intermediate section 12C. Thus, a fork lift 8 and a putting-in-and-out device 113 can be put in and out of both ends, and a pallet can be prevented from twisting.
