PURPOSE: To provide a transfer lead switch and a setting method of a gap between its fixed lead pieces by which cost can be reduced by improving versatility of a movable lead piece and a part and a metal mold or the like can be simply controlled.

CONSTITUTION: Plural step difference parts 6 are arranged in a tip part 4A of a movable lead piece 4 as well as on a surface where a first fixed lead piece 2 and a second fixed lead piece 3 are opposed to each other by putting a width of the movable lead piece 4 in a condition of becoming intermittently small as its advances to the tip side where a movable contact point 4a is formed. Both fixed lead pieces 2 and 3 are respectively positioned in a contact condition in the step difference parts 6 forming the width of the movable lead piece 4 in response, to a gap among the plural step difference parts 6, and after that, these are fixed and the step difference parts 6 are pulled out from between both fixed lead pieces 2 and 3, and a prescribed gap is simply generated between both fixed lead pieces 2 and 3.
