PURPOSE: To improve the rate of operation of a press, in a device whereby tile bases molded by the press are transferred to a firing kiln, by temporarily storing the tile bases transferred from the press when a stacker is stopped piling the tile strands.

CONSTITUTION: When piling work of a stacker 12 is stopped for replacement of a firing truck 10, each tile base 2, fed from a tile molding press 1, is aligned with a position by an aligning stopper device 14. Then the tile base 2 is received by a lift stopper 23 of a storage stopper device 20 in a transfer locus of the base 2, stopped to a storage position C, and then each base is scooped by a pair of rack members 28, correspondig to this storage position C, thus stored on each rack member 28. In consequence, even if piling work of the stacker 12 is suspended, molding work of the tile base 2 can be continuously operated without causing a trouble by the tile molding press.
