Title:
TRANSFER RECORDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6381090
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent inhibition by oxygen from occurring and enable higher speed and energy conservation, by providing a composition the transfer characteristics of which are changed when optical energy and thermal energy are applied thereto, and causing a reactant and/or binder in the composition to have an amine structure.

CONSTITUTION: A transfer recording material is so arranged that when the material does not comprises a binder, has an amine structure, whereas when the material contains a binder, the reactant and/or the binder has an amine structure, whereby radical polymerization caused when optical and thermal energy are applied is completed speedily and with low energy without any inhibition by oxygen. The transfer recording medium 1 paid out from a payout roll 2 is supplied with heat pulses based on an image signal by a thermal head, and is simultaneously irradiated with light from a lamp 3, whereby the part supplied with the heat pulses is hardened, and the transferring temperature of that part is raised. As a result, a transfer image is formed of a part which is not hardened and the transferring temperature of which remains relatively low. The transfer image is transferred onto a medium 10 to be transfer-recorded, by a heated roll 8 and a pinch roll 9.
