Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a forming of transfer image of high quality on a paper, a halftone recording, and a multi-color recording, by a method wherein a recording medium is provided with a distribution layer including fine image forming elements reacting to be different tones on a substrate and contains a sensitive component varying in its physical properties affecting a transfer properties of the image forming elements due to application of a plural sorts of energies, and each of the image forming elements is coated with a wall material having spectral transmission characteristics corresponding to its tone.

CONSTITUTION: On a substrate 1b, image forming elements 1aa having a component varying in its physical properties affecting a transfer properties due to application of energy and a component of coloring agent is bonded by a binder 1p with being coated with wall materials 1a1 having a fixed spectral transmission characteristics. A transfer recording layer 1a includes the fine image forming elements 1aa each reacting to be a different tone. The wall materials for the image forming elements 1aa are so constructed as to have different spectral transmission characteristics according to the coloring material contained therein. To form an image, light is irradiated on a transfer recording medium 1 laid over a thermal head 20. The light of wavelength reacting with a sensitive component is successively irradiated and selectively transmitted by the wall materials.
