To reduce a weight and a cost and to improve a working efficiency of a transfer truck shifted to a plurality of running lanes by a traverse device.

The transfer truck device, which is provided with plural truck running tracks 5 and a coil transfer truck 7 running on the running tracks 5, is provided with truck traverse rails 14 respectively ascendable and descendable, on which the transfer truck 7 runs and which are arranged so as to cross the running tracks 5 corresponding to the running tracks 5, a gear jack 11, which elevates and lowers the traverse rails 14 so that a running face of the transfer truck 7 on the traverse rails 14 is same height as a running face of the running tracks 5 and a traverse means to traverse the transfer truck 7 between the traverse rails 14. By elevating and lowering the traverse rails with the gear jack 11 and traversing the transfer truck 7 with the traverse means, the transfer truck 7 is moved between plural running track 5, a traverse shift weight by the traverse means is decreased, a device and a drive system are made lighter, a construction cost and a running cost are reduced.
