PURPOSE: To provide an one-time transfer type heat sensitive recording material excellent in printing sharpness, delamination resistance and transferability, obtained by coating a substrate with ink consisting of polyhydroxy resin having a OH group on the saturated hydrocarbon skeletal thereof, wax and a coloring agent.

CONSTITUTION: For example, 5W30% polyhydroxy resin having a OH group on the saturated hydrocarbon skeletal thereof, 60% wax (e.g., paraffin wax, carunava wax or the like) and 1W30% coloring agent (e.g., an org. or an inorg. pigment, a dye soluble in polyhydroxy resin and wax or the like) are compounded and melted under heating to obtain ink. This ink is applied to a substrate comprising PE, PP, PVC, polyester to obtain an objective recording material.
