To provide a transfer type working line with a simple structure where first and second two works W1 and W2 composing a product W are subjected to prescribed working, respectively, and thereafter, both the works are combined so as to manufacture the product.

A first stage S1 for work charging, a second stage S2 for first work working, a third stage S3 for second work working and a fourth stage 4 for combining both the works are arranged in series, and a plurality of fingers 8-1, 8-2, and 8-3, respectively, self-travelling along a guide member 7 are provided. The first work W1 is carried to the second stage S2 by the first finger 8-1, is worked, and thereafter carried to the fourth stage S2 by the second finger 8-2. The second work W2 is carried to the third stage S3 by the first finger 8-1, is worked, and is thereafter carried to the fourth stage S4 by the second finger 8-2 or the third finger 8-3.
