To provide a transferable utensil provided with a vertically movable top plate, which can adjust the height of the top plate and the relative level of casters against grounding members fixed at the lower end of legs by the rotary manipulation of a handle and which does not vary the height of the top plate from the floor face even when the casters are driven vertically during the changing motion from the transferable state to the fixed state and vice versa.
A vertically movable structure 3 for a top plate and a drive structure 6 of casters are actuated by the rotation of a handle 7 and a displacement proportional to the revolution number of the handle 7 is brought. In this case, the utensil is provided with an adjusting mode for the top plate, in which the rotary drive force of the handle 7 is transmitted only to at least the vertically movable structure 3 to adjust the height of the top plate 2 by a changeover means 9 provided with a rotary drive structure 8 including the common handle 7, and a sympathizing mode in which the rotary drive force of the handle is simultaneously transmitted to the vertically movable structure 3 and the drive structure 6 of the casters to equalize the displacement of the height of the top plate to the legs with the vertical displacement of the casters 5 and the height of the top plate 2 from the floor face is always kept constant.
