The transferring apparatus comprises a transfer base 2 for rotatably supporting a molding M, a thermal transfer film unwinder 3 for supplying a thermal transfer film F to a surface S to be transferred, a truncated conical transfer roll 4 for rotatably driving the molding M while bringing the film F into contact with the surface S, and a heater 5 for heating a surface of the roll 4. In this case, when an apex angle of the truncated cone of the roll 4 is indicated by α, an apex angle of the truncated cone of the molding M is indicated by ', an angle θ formed between the rotating center line O4 of the roll 4 and the rotating center line O2 of the base 2 is set to [(α+β)/2]-5° to [(α+β)/2]+5°.
