PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption of transferring and fixing devices and enhance durability of device parts, by providing a fixing material near the transfer position to make it possible to fix the toner image immediately after the toner image is transferred from the intermediate transferring body to the transfer paper.
CONSTITUTION: The toner image transferred onto the surface of intermediate transferring body 6 is carried to the transfer position for transfer paper 9 and is heated by heat roller 7 and press roller 8 and is pressure-fixed onto transfer paper 9 strongly, and thus, the toner image is transferred to transfer paper 9. Since the transferred toner image is fixed by fixing heat roller 10 and press roller 11, which are provided near the transfer position, before remaining heat at the transfer time is broken, a temperature lower than the regular fixing temperature is sufficient for fixing.
