Abstract:
To provide a transformant by which a system for analyzing enzyme activity of a starch synthase derived from a plant is structured and functional analysis of the starch synthase is conducted, and to provide a method for utilizing the same.
A cyanobacterium transformant into which a polynucleotide encoding the starch synthase derived from a gramineous plant is introduced and which is derived from Synechococcus elongatus PCC7942 strain is provided. Further, the cyanobacterium transformant from which a polynucleotide encoding an endogenous glycogen synthase is deleted is provided.
