PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to stereoselectively and efficiently producing L-carbocysteine from at least one of L-serine, thioglycolic acid and salt thereof by using a transformant.SOLUTION: There are provided a transformant in which gene coding tryptophan synthase β subunit derived from Moorella thermoacetica is introduced into a host cell, and a processed product thereof, a method for producing a processed product of the transformant, and a method for producing L-carbocysteine by using a processed product of the transformant.SELECTED DRAWING: None
