Abstract:

To provide a transformation system using an auxotrophic endogenous gene as a marker gene in a microorganism belonging to Issatchenkia orientalis.

The DNA structure for genetic transformation of uracil-demanding variant comprises a DNA containing a base sequence represented by a specific base sequence derived from a variant belonging to Issatchenkia orientalis and is a microorganism belonging to Issatchenkia orientalis. The transformation method is provided.
