To provide a transformed yeast enabling the analysis of a ligand of a nuclear receptor of an animal in high detection sensitivity.
The transformed yeast contains a nuclear receptor gene of an animal and a reporter gene introduced into the yeast in an expressible manner and expressing the reporter gene by recognizing the complex of a nuclear receptor ligand of the animal and the nuclear receptor of the animal. The invention further provides a transformed yeast containing, in an expressible state, an animal transcription coupling factor gene activating the transcription of the reporter gene by directly bonding to the animal nuclear receptor. As shown in the graph of the Figure 1, the ligand of an animal nuclear receptor can be analyzed in high sensitivity by using the transformed yeast. For example, human SRC1 can be used as the transcription coupling factor and -galactosidase gene can be used as the reporter gene.
