Title:
TRANSFORMER FOR COMPENSATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009177979
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a transformer for a compensation which is installed to an AC substation for an electric railway for improving a power factor to apply to a reactive-power compensator and is capable of ensuring a constant reactance ratio at all the time between the transformer and a capacitor for the compensation even when a tap is changed over for adjusting a compensation capacity.

The core type transformer 1 having a single phase is mounted on the secondary side of the transformer 5 for AC feeding to the AC substation 2 for the electric railway. The core type transformer 1 has a single tap 14a fitting the capacitor 16 on the secondary side and a plurality of no-voltage changing taps 13b to 13f capable of adjusting the compensation capacity by the capacitor 16 on the primary side. In the core type transformer 1, the percent impedance %Z is 16 to 20% even in the changing state of any of the no-voltage changing taps 13b to 13f within a range of 40 to 70 kV at a primary-side voltage.
