Abstract:
To provide a transformer or a reactor which is very reliable and kept free a partial discharge that occurs outside of the conductive layer of a cable forming a winding even if a high-frequency surge penetrates.
This transformer or reactor is equipped with windings 6, 7, and 8 each formed of a wire composed of a current-carrying conductor 12, a solid insulating layer 14 disposed around the conductor 12, and an outer conductive layer 15 having semiconductive properties and being disposed around the solid insulating layer 14, where the outer conductive layer 15 of a wire forming the outlets 16 of the windings 6, 7, and 8 is set higher in electric resistance than the windings.
