Title:
TRANSISTOR PROTECTIVE CIRCUIT OF MONITOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08223435
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a transistor against a high voltage which can be instantaneously generated at the time of power on/off or mode conversion. SOLUTION: The proposed transistor protecting circuit of a monitor includes a driving transformer 10 which generates a high voltage driving signal according to a horizontal oscillation signal, a transistor TR1 which is switched according to a driving signal inputted to the base terminal and whose emitter terminal is grounded, a fly-back transformer 30 connected with the collector terminal of the transistor TR1 which generates a high voltage, and a high voltage interrupting part 50 connected between the base terminal and collector terminal of the transistor TR1. At the time of occurrence of an instantaneous abnormal high voltage, the high voltage on the fly-back transformer 30 is by-passed through the collector terminal of the transistor TR1 to the high voltage interrupting part 50 so that the transistor TR1 can be protected.
