Abstract:

To provide a transit mechanism of a carrier type carriage conveyor simple in structure and capable of carrying out smooth and speedy transit motion.

It is furnished with a pusher conveyor 5 to carry a carriage until an engagement receiver of a carriage rear part outruns an upper part of a driving receiver part of a driving carrier to move a non-engagement region and intrudes into an engagement region as rails 3 on which the carriage travels are laid in parallel on both sides of a carriage conveyor in a range from the neighbourhood of an engagement region of the non-engagement region of at least an engagement region upstream of the carriage conveyor 1 to carry the carriage by engaging with and supporting the engagement receivers in the front and the rear of the carriage by a driven receiver part of a driven carrier and a driving receiver part of a driving carrier to be guided to a pair of guide rails 8 in a carrying region to an engagement region overall region of a carrier region upstream and an air cylinder device 6 having a pusher to push the carriage until a front part engagement receiver engaged with the driven receiver part by the pusher conveyor 5 makes the driven carrier contact with a front free movement limiting trolley.
