Abstract:
To provide a relatively simple polymerization method capable of obtaining a readily handleable particle morphology (e.g. ready fluidity and high bulk density) or a water-containing polymer dispersion.
This polymer is characterized in that a monomer containing a C-C double bond and/or a C-C triple bond is polymerized in the presence of a catalytic composition containing a transition metal compound of a transition metal having a small atomic number and, if required, a cation-forming compound (B) and, if required, another component (C) as effective composition components to give the polymer based on the monomer and the polymerization mixture contains ≥30 mass%water.
